HARDIN CO.—Embattled state’s attorney Tara Cook-Wallace may have overplayed her hand a bit too much in recent days.

This after Wallace told Disclosure publisher Jack Howser that she had nothing to do with targeting sheriff JT Fricker’s father, renowned businessman, entrepreneur, patriarch of the community and school board president Jerry Fricker, in an attempt to get both men charged with crimes.

Hours after telling Howser that she had nothing to do with the investigation, Wallace went to television stations in the area and said the exact opposite.

Now, we may know the WHY of it all.

Sources have told Disclosure that Wallace, whose husband Jeremy is the vice president of the school board, has been calling school board members and talking about what will happen if she can get the elder Fricker kicked off the board by arrest or other means.

“She is saying Jeremy will automatically become president of the board and is trying to endear herself to other board members by telling them she could ‘make it possible for them to take her husband’s vice president seat’,” said one school board source.

Wallace has caused so much grief in the community that she has even been asked by at least one county board member to resign and stop embarrassing the county, and the community of Elizabethtown, who largely supported her in the November 2012 election.

Wallace has reportedly snubbed her nose at the county board and has even said “F^ck the movers and shakers in the Republican party (which supported her run for office), they can’t tell me what to do now.”
