HARDIN CO., Ill.—A northbound empty coal hauler has gone off the roadway on Route 34 in Hardin County, in the vicinity of the Karber’s Ridge turn at Harbison’s.

The truck is reported to be about 25 feet into the trees and authorities have called Vernell’s Wrecker Service out of Marion to come pull it out.

Fortunately, the driver is okay; however, in about an hour (around 11 p.m.), authorities will be shutting down the highway in order to extract the truck.

Please be aware of the situation if you are in the area.

Where the little "34" is, at the creek crossing, is where we understand the wreck took place, south of the Karbers Ridge turn to the right.

Harbison’s, which is one of our vendors, is right at the Karber’s Ridge Road intersection with 34.
