WHITE CO., Ill.---It appears a home in Carmi was a stopping point for the man who was the person of interest in a shooting in Marion last night that left one man dead and a woman injured.
Jack S. Thomas Jr., surrendered peacefully to Carmi and White County authorities about 1:30 this afternoon, Tuesday, April 21.
There's been no indication who the home in Carmi belonged to, nor what connection Thomas had to the person or persons there. Authorities have confirmed that the address was 619 Oak Street, Apartment 2.
Thomas had been on the run since late last night after the 10:30 p.m. incident in the city of Marion in Williamson County.

We'll be bringing that to you in upcoming articles; stay on with us as we look into it.
