HARRISBURG, Ill.--The woman missing from Harrisburg Medical Center since July 19 has been found, and she is alive and well.
Roberta Wallace, reported to have walked away from HMC more than a week ago, was found in a thicket in the Gaskins City area of Harrisburg about a mile or so from HMC by a search party organized by friends and family
Wallace was the subject of this report Saturday.
Saline County Sheriff's Department, Harrisburg police and MedForce ambulance were at the scene. All are saying they have NO idea how Wallace survived that long in the heat and elements without assistance.
She is alert and talking, at the hospital. Family is telling us that a guy she'd been seeing lately had picked her up at the hospital that Sunday night and took her back to his place. She spent the night there; however, when he got up the next morning, she was gone. So it's possible the was only missing since Monday, July 20.
