GIBSON CO., Ind. – Given the number of crossover crims from Saline getting busted in Wabash recently, it shouldn't come as any kind of surprise that one got popped across the river in Gibson County, Indiana...which is exactly what happened last night near Owensville.
Press information indicates that last night (Sunday, January 17) at approximately 11:30, Indiana State Police Trooper Ross Rafferty was patrolling Indiana State Road 65 near Owensville in Gibson County when he spotted a vehicle parked just off Base Road west of SR 65.
Gibson County Sheriff's Department said Rafferty approached the vehicle and identified the female driver as Jessica N. Ford, 23, of Harrisburg, Ill. An odor of marijuana was detected inside the vehicle.
A search of the vehicle revealed an eyeglass case containing three unused syringes and one spoon containing an unknown white residue. A small amount of marijuana was also located inside the vehicle.
Ford was arrested and taken to the Gibson County Jail where she was, as of this morning (January 18), being held on bond. She is charged with Possession of Syringes, Class 6 Felony; Possession of Marijuana under 30 grams, Class B Misdemeanor; and Possession of Paraphernalia, Class A Misdemeanor.
The Gibson County Sheriff’s Department assisted Indiana State Police in the incident.
