Jerry Dean (Big Jerry) Fricker
HARDIN CO., Ill. - A local icon from Hardin County has passed away.
Jerry Dean Fricker, father of Hardin County Sheriff Jerry Thomas (JT) Fricker, died yesterday, Thursday, January 21.
The elder Fricker had been a member of the Hardin County Schools Board of Education for a number of years until recently, and served as board president for a time.
The elder Fricker had been in ill health for the past year or more; he lost his wife to cancer a couple of years back. The loss is tremendous to the communities in Hardin where the Frickers were and remain well-known, in Elizabethtown and Rosiclare in particular.
