WILLIAMSON/JACKSON COs.—Williamson County authorities are tight-lipped about a body found south of town, but sources in an adjacent county are advising at this hour that a suspect is being sought.
Disclosure learned this evening at about 6 p.m. that a woman’s body was found in the vicinity of Hudgens Road a couple of miles south of Marion at about 3:30 p.m. today, Friday, November 15, 2013. The body was found on the side of the road, reportedly by two young people who were walking or traveling in the area, who upon first viewing the body believed it to be trash. Upon closer inspection they learned that it was the body of a woman. Reports from officials sources outside of Williamson County have advised that the woman may have been the victim of gunshot wound(s) and/or stabbing…or both.
Williamson County refused to comment about the body when Disclosure reached them at about 7:45 this evening, but official sources in surrounding counties have confirmed this to be the case.
Officials in Jackson County have also confirmed, at about 9 p.m. this evening, that a prime suspect in the murder of the woman was “pinged” (via cell phone communication/location) two miles south of Carbondale, with direction of travel unknown. Why officials believe this person to be the main suspect is unknown at this time, but this has been confirmed with official Jackson County sources, so we’re waiting to learn more. Keep checking back as we obtain updates.
