The not exactly incredibly handsome Dwayne E. Bruce is shown here in his latest mugshot sporting what some call tribal markings and others call stupid.
SALINE CO.— A Harrisburg convicted thief is facing a stolen weapons charge.
According to the details filed in the case, on August 18, Dwayne E. Bruce, 32, of 218 West Lincoln St., Harrisburg, committed the offense of Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon after he was found to have on his felonious person a Ruger Black Hawk 44 magnum handgun.
His legal plight worsened when the serial number on that weapon was run through police computers and authorities found that it had been stolen from Douglas W. Young, adding a felony Theft charge to Bruce’s legal woes.
Douglas W. Young, 74, was convicted January, 27, 2003 for Public Indecency and fined $695.
Bruce’s criminal history includes a conviction September 19, 2002 for calling in a False Bomb Threat Report which earned him a sentence to probation for 24 months and ordered $3,537.04, of which he hasn’t paid the first penny.
Bruce earned himself some time taking his meals in a cage when he was found guilty November 9, 2005 of Possession of a Stolen Vehicle for which he was sentenced to the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) for five years and ordered to pay $8,945.14 in fines and fees, of which he hasn’t bothered paying anything… either.
Obviously not burdened with valedictorian status during his school years, Bruce was convicted May 27, 2009 again of Possession of Stolen vehicle.
That conviction was the result of a plea agreement in which charges of Criminal Damage to Property $500-$10,000 and Damage to Property $300-$10,000 were dismissed in return for the plea and a sentence back to an IDOC cage and $535 in fines and fees, which he apparently paid, possibly accidentally.
And at the time of his arrest Bruce had at least two pending cases in Saline from August 4, 2017, in which he is charged with Burglary and Theft and another from August 13, 2017, in which he is charged with Retail Theft.
Among other things Bruce listed 212 South Ave., McLeansboro, as his new address on his affidavit of assets and liabilities.
The unemployed felon appears to have a problem with the sanctity of marriage not writing on that line of the document ‘single’ as most do, but ‘NO.’
Fortunately for the rest of the planet he answered the same way when asked Number of Children.
Cash bond in Bruce’s case was set at $1,500.
