JOHNSTON CITY, Ill.—An accident in the Williamson County town of Johnston City today left significant damage to one of the vehicles involved, but no injuries to either driver or passengers.
Schurters at the Prius
A little after noon today (Wednesday, June 4, 2014), the silver Toyota Prius V shown in photos here, driven by James Schurter (on right in orange) of Freemont, Illinois was rear ended by a black Ford Expedition.
Berry’s Ford Expedition
Jennifer Berry of Johnston City, driver of the Expedition, said she did not see the Schuters’ car in front of her and failed to slow down. The accident happened on Rt 37 in Johnston City in front of Shamrock Antiques. Mrs. Schurter said she and her husband had been in Florida to a graduation and were on their way back home. Significant damage was done and that they would have to rent a car before they could resume their trip home.
No one was injured in the accident.
