HARRISBURG— Say what you want about the in-fighting, back-stabbing and conspiracies coming out of city hall, there are still some folks willing to put differences aside and do the right thing because, well… It’s the right thing to do.
Case in point: Harrisburg Chief of Police James “Whipper” Johnson is hosting a benefit Pro-Wrestling event at his gym Training Daze, located at 104 West McHaney St., Harrisburg, to benefit Danton, a local seven-year-old autistic boy fighting off vision issues.
The event has been dubbed: A Night For Danton.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. with action starting up at 7 p.m.
ALL funds raised will go directly to help pay for Danton’s medical needs to ensure he gets all the help he can receive with his vision.
“Last year I hosted a professional wrestling crew with proceeds going to Shop With a Cop in Saline County,” Chief Johnson said. “We hope this benefit for little Danton is even more of a success. Let’s pack the place!”
Included on this year’s ticket are Heath Hatton, Trevor Murdoch and Farmer Billy Hills.
Tickets are $5 at the door and all donations are welcome.
Those who are not wrestling fans or can’t stay for the event are encouraged to drop by 104 West McHaney St., Harrisburg, and make a donation because well… It’s the right thing to do.
